Crescent Gateway Association (CGA) partners with the City of Monterey Park and the UCLA Asian Pacific Health Corps for the City of Monterey Park’s Annual Health Fair on Saturday, October 26. The free health fair is open to all — including seniors, adults, and children — in order to promote health and wellness among the community. Services ranging from blood pressure, hepatitis B/C, and hearing and physician screenings were offered. Complimentary snacks and water, provided by CGA, were also given to all attendees.

Numerous booths from businesses and local and government agencies, such as Metro, USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, and 2020 Census were also set up at the fair. The booths provided attendees with opportunities to find easier transportation, jobs, and brochures on healthy and active lifestyles.

CGA gives special thanks to all the 20+ volunteers, from the following organizations, who came and assisted throughout the entire health fair: Southwestern Academy San Marino, South Pasadena High School, East Los Angeles College, and Western University of Health Sciences. Our volunteers were able to provide translation services, guidance on which booths to visit, and assist with distributing water and snacks to all fair participants.
