Richard Sanchez

Ricardo “Richard” Sanchez owns and operates Sanz Construction, Inc. As a General Contractor Sanz Construction has and continues to serve the Sanz Gabriel Valley for over 35 years. Based in the City of Alhambra, Sanz Construction holds a General Contractor's "B" license as well as 11 specialty licenses ranging from roofing to concrete to finish carpentry; specializing in custom kitchen and bath.

As the Contractor of Sanz Construction, Richard manages each project and ensures every detail is double checked before handing over the keys to his customers. His journey began in the early years out of high school. Having been introduced to wood shop and the proper fundamentals of construction safety, the various types of wood, tools, and the building blocks for a career in carpentry; Richard was hooked. Immediately he began applying his new found knowledge; building anything from small personalized signs to large custom furniture pieces. Soon after, he decided to double down and learn the trade by skilled professionals where he enrolled himself into the Los Angeles Trade Technical College to study Carpentry. In class Richard began to hone his skills in carpentry, architecture, and design. However, the real learning began once he stepped outside of the classroom. With an unrivaled work ethic Richard began to look at the next chapter in his life; starting his own business. The year was 1991, Richard and his brother, Jessie, started Sanchez Brothers Construction. Soon thereafter, Richard and his brother parted ways and so Sanz Construction, Inc. was born. Fast forward, today Richard continues his drive for success, delivering his passion

Over the years, Richard has completed countless projects for the City of Alhambra, Los Angeles Unified School District, Public Works, Property Managers, Commercial Tenants, Celebrities, Politicians, and Homeowners alike. He has built new homes, room additions, classic home restoration, home remodels & renovations, fix and flips, and developed custom homes. No matter the project Richard’s love for construction can be seen in every project. Richard currently serves as Vice President of the City of Alhambra’s Design & Review Board. When he is not working on improving his neighborhood Richard enjoys spending time with his four children, antiquing on the weekends with his wife, and cruising in his classic car.
